About Parai

The parai is the traditional drum that once carried news to the whole village. Today, Parai carries the news of the Sri Lankan Tamil community – from Montreal to the world.

Our mission

Trustworthy news, events, achievements and announcements for the Tamil diaspora, in Tamil and English.

Our standards

Everything we publish – journalist articles, reader news, ads and shorts – is reviewed by the editor first. Reader-submitted stories are clearly labelled. Advertising is always labelled "Advertisement".
